• Healthworks Cambridge Locker Rooms

When Healthworks was ready to renovate the locker rooms at their Porter Square location, they came to Analogue Studio with a few challenges: how to make the basement location feel airy and light-filled; how to elevate the aesthetics of the locker room to that of a luxury spa; and how to provide for increased capacity without enlarging the overall footprint of the locker rooms.

With our extensive knowledge of the Healthworks brand and operations across all of their locations, we were able to quickly identify key areas of the locker room that could be redesigned to maximize the space. A marble-covered entrance wall is a feature in the new space, serving as both an entrance blind and a subtle indicator of circulation path for members coming in and going out. The central vanity station behind the blind increased the locker room’s capacity and was tailored to member’s requests, including lighted mirrors and hidden storage for hair driers and straighteners. In the massage rooms, we added custom millwork for therapists along with soft lighting and wallcoverings to provide a quiet, relaxing room for guests.
