Lumenpulse
U.S. headquarters for a pioneer in LED color and science
For its new engineering, design, and innovation headquarters in Boston’s Financial District, Lumenpulse asked Analogue Studio to create a multidimensional brand experience that would upend the typical approach to office and showroom design. To capture Lumenpulse’s unique approach to color-changing, architectural LED lighting, we worked closely with the R&D team to find new and creative ways to bring their solutions to life. We developed the space plan around a central light well, and to bridge the north and south wings of the space, we located shared services along a central ‘spine,’ which is identified by a 135-foot-long LED fixture that displays a rainbow of colors in one-foot increments. An on-site prototyping lab is brought forward so that visitors can get a firsthand view of the company’s R&D capabilities. In the office area, task pendants over workstations double as fixtures that bathe the industrial shell of the space in a full spectrum of colors. The new headquarters even delivers a brand experience to the outside world, with LEDs in every window projecting ‘color messages’ — such red, white, and blue for Independence Day — that are visible from a distance.
