MassChallenge – One Marina Park Drive
Design residency with leading startup accelerator
As one of the world’s largest startup accelerators, MassChallenge has unique programming needs that push the boundaries of traditional workplace design. In order to create an effective working environment for 125 different companies that are both in competition and collaboration with one another, Analogue Studio and MassChallenge launched a pioneering design residency called SpaceHack. Bringing unusual depth to the designer-client relationship, Analogue Studio moved in with MassChallenge to engage the community in an iterative process of design, testing, observation, and revision. The MassChallenge headquarters became a living laboratory to examine how work environments can be optimized for entrepreneurship — lessons that have since carried over into our design for MassChallenge’s new home in Boston’s historic Innovation & Design Building.
