Santa Fe Residence
Translating the client’s notion of an invented history of the spectacular 60-acre site in Santa Fe, this entirely off-the-grid home consists of several structures of varying degrees of vernacular and contemporary design that remains unified through the continuity of details and spatial conditions. The radial progression from the Great Room, to the Children’s and Guest Rooms, to the Master Suite, and finally culminating in the Recreation Room reflects the eclectic sense of the home’s residents as well as the evolution of local materials, building practices, and architectonics.
