• The Container Yard

    The Container Yard (TCY) was conceived as an iconic creative destination in Los Angeles. When they came to us, their identity was a mix of many things: a street art gallery, an event venue and a production space. They lacked a unified brand story and were struggling to mature without losing soul as they grew.

    We led a deep discovery and strategy process to articulate their core identity. We found that TCY’s undefined, work-in-progress nature was not a weakness, but its greatest strength. Instead of forcing a single definition, we built the brand around their spirit of constant evolution. We crafted a new strategic position and ethos statement, celebrating that TCY proudly defies definition, ever embodying the spirit of “what’s next?”.

    This strategy informed a new, dynamic visual identity system. We also explored how this new brand would translate to the physical space, including signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphics. We delivered a flexible brand system that captured their unique vibe and positioned them to become a true lifestyle brand.
