The Harvard Shop
A new flagship store for the world’s largest student-run company
In 2022, The Harvard Shop eagerly embraced the chance to relocate their flagship store to a prime location at the heart of Harvard Square. They entrusted Analogue Studio, their design partner for nearly a decade across eight other renovations, to lead the design process.
The Harvard Shop wanted to make a bold statement in the Square with an updated and modern take on their classic style. To accommodate periodic influxes of 30-50 visitors from its partner Trademark Tours, they needed additional space for fitting rooms, storage and an efficient queue. The reception desk back wall is anchored by a stunning 25’ x 10’ 3D map of the Harvard University campus, highlighting buildings seen on each tour. Analogue Studio strategically navigated Harvard Square’s strict signage regulations by analyzing optimal outdoor signage locations for maximum visibility to both pedestrians and drivers. Each element is illuminated to ensure they’re clearly visible all day and night.
